This is our second time working with Steven and Freida. They are exceptional breeders and really care for the health and well being of their puppies. We really appreciated the genetic and health testing done on the parents to ensure the puppies are healthy and free of genetic disease commonly found in the breed. The temperament of the puppies were great. When we met the puppies at 7 weeks old, they were smart, playful, and curious. Overall, the puppies were excellent examples of the Pembroke Welch corgi breed.

Also, the work Steven and Frieda do with crate training and socialization before the puppies go to their forever homes is very helpful to smooth the transition.

Steven and Frieda from GoldStar Corgis have been a delight to work with! From when I first got in touch with them in April to when we picked our girl River up in early September, they were always available to answer all our questions and provide tons of updates on the litter. They even invited us over multiple times before pickup to allow us to meet the dogs, see the farm, and get to connect with who would eventually end up being our pup.

They also started the process of crate training, which, along with continuing to be available to provide guidance even post-pickup, is really appreciated by us as first-time owners. From how well she’s been adjusting at home, you can tell how much care and love is given to the puppies from day one. Steven and Frieda were truly incredible to work with! We spoke to them a very long time before we were ready for a puppy and they walked us through the process and were so transparent about their waitlist. When we were ready for a puppy, we joined their waitlist, and they continued to update us every step along the way. Our beautiful boy, George, was crate trained when we got him and his temperment is so sweet and calm. Steven and Frieda sent us home with items that smelled like George's mother to ease his nerves, food to use, and records for our vet. We had a great experience with Steve and Frieda when going through the process of adopting our corgi. We were able to visit the puppies multiple times prior to taking him home which made us very comfortable in adopting from them- not to mention his crate exposure early on made crate training a breeze. We recently welcomed our sweet Lily home, and the experience with Gold Star Corgis was exceptional. From the very first phone call with Steven, it was clear how knowledgeable and caring he is about corgis. Their setup is fantastic—clean, well-organized, and designed with the dogs' wellbeing in mind.When bringing her home, Steven and Frieda provided us with her food, treats, and even her favorite stuffed animal and blanket. Unlike most other breeders, Lily came home completely crate-trained! From the first night home, she slept all through the night happily in her crate.

When first I found myself at the Fisher‘s in April, 2025, I fell in love with the mother of a litter of puppies Frieda showed me. Fast forward nine months, that sweet 4 year-old retiree is my perfect companion. Many trips between Morgantown and Chestertown facilitated her living in two homes until her last litter found their forever homes. Early on Steven and Frieda recognized the bond that developed between us and facilitated a way to enable us to be together. In turn, I recognized her assets as a GoldStar breeding female: intelligent, sweet disposition, loyal, and handsome. The Fishers’ standard of care is well-documented. We had a fantastic experience working with Steven and Frieda to bring our girl Nori (Blossom) home. Their home and the area they have for their dogs and the puppies are so nice and very well kept. You can immediately tell they take such good care of their dogs and love them! We received photo updates and personality updates once we picked our puppy out and they responded quickly to any questions we had! They start them on crate training too which is wonderful, and was a big help in her transition to our home. If you’ve decided on a corgi puppy, we highly recommend getting one from Goldstar, we’re so glad we did! We love our Nori girl soooo much! She’s beautiful, adorable, ornery, sweet, energetic, talkative, and full of love. Everything a corgi puppy should be!

Queso (formerly Darla) has been the perfect addition to our family! She’s healthy, playful, and beautifully socialized. Amazingly, she slept through the night in her crate from the very first night. That says so much about the dedication of Steven and Frieda. We’re beyond thankful to them for this beautiful puppy! After a TON of research looking for a reputable breeder, I got my sweet Maple from GoldStar and it has been nothing less than an outstanding experience. Steven and Frieda were excellent to work with. You can tell they truly care about their pups and bettering the breed. I brought my pup home and she was fully crate trained and almost completely potty trained. First time dog owner. Can't say enough about how great it was to work with Steven and Freida when it came time to adopt a Corgi puppy. From our initial inquiry, they were always very responsive, transparent, and welcoming. They let us come visit their home before committing to anything, and their setup is so great! The dogs have a large, clean, space to play and are all so friendly! When it came to our specific puppy, they offered lots of flexibility around coat and gender preference, as well as pickup date (since I had a conflict at the 8 week point). Once our pup was born, they were consistently in contact with us with photos and other updates. And once we brought him home, he was already so well behaved and had early potty/crate training.

Adopting a puppy is going to be stressful no matter what, having people like Steven and Freida who know what they are doing helps so much!! 100% recommend to anyone in the area thinking about adopting a corgi.

After months of carefully researching responsible corgi breeders along the East Coast, we found GoldStar Puppies - and it was absolutely the right choice.

From the moment we fist contacted Steven and Frieda, they were amazing, with updates on the litter, to driving up to meet the puppies and their mom Maeve.
We picked Daisy almost immediately, as she was so outgoing and loving towards us, she totally blew us away.
The information and advice we were given by Steven and Frieda and their obvious love for the breed made bringing Daisy home with us so easy and stress free.

Could not recommend Steven and Frieda more. We have had Twizzler (Harley) for almost two months now and he is just the joy of our lives. Stephen and Frieda were so accommodating with needing to pick up our baby at 14 weeks. They checked in with us throughout the process, they checked in with us after. They even do personality testing on the puppies to make sure they are a good fit for your lifestyle. We couldn’t be happier and full of love for our little guy. They did such a wonderful job with him. They also have their children involved in socializing their dogs which makes a huge difference in the puppy’s comfort level with people, and being handled. Couldn’t Be Happier with Our Experience!
We had such a positive experience getting our Corgi, Luna, from this breeder. They were incredibly responsive, flexible with visiting hours, and answered every question we had. The facility was spotless, well-organized, and it was clear they genuinely care about their dogs.
They provided us with lots of helpful information about Luna’s temperament, along with plenty of videos and photos leading up to pick-up. When we brought her home at 10 weeks, she was nearly fully potty trained and already crate trained — she almost slept through the night from day one! The paperwork process was also super easy and professional.

There are not enough great things that I can say about Stephen and Frieda of Goldstar! From the day I first inquired about our Maple to the day I picked her up, they were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! Communication with them was always in a timely manner and they always took the time to answer any and all of the questions that I had. They are 100% thorough in making sure that the puppy that you want is the best match for you. They give all the puppies a temperament testing and then they allow you to come out and see the puppies and review the test results to determine whether that puppy will meet your expectations and lifestyle. They are very knowledgeable about the breed and can provide you a honest, hands on description about each of their puppies personalities! Their facility is clean and exactly what you expect from a breeder. Frieda gave us a tour of their facility and the dogs are kept in clean runs and play areas. Mom was on site and we were also able to see her. Stephen and Frieda also start their puppies on potty and crate train their puppies and by the time you bring your new fur baby home they are 75% on their way! Maple has been the best addition to our pack! Her temperament is a perfect fit and she has hands down been the easiest of all our corgis to train… most of the work was started for us. If you are serious about investing in the crazy life of a corgi companion, I strongly recommend and encourage you to work with Goldstar! Steven and Frieda are amazing! From the first time we connected with them, they were open and honest. They sent us all the information we asked for and accommodated us coming over multiple times to meet the litter. Their facilities are so clean and professional. Once we picked our puppy they kept us up to date on her. They spent time crate training and socializing the puppies and it shows. What a joy having a puppy that loves her crate and won’t fuss at bed time. The whole experience was second to none and my family will recommend Goldstar Corgis to any person. What a great family business. Our new puppy is settled in and passed her first vet check with flying colors at our vet! Our experience working with Steven and Frieda of GoldStar Puppies has been exceptional from the very beginning and even now that we have our beautiful puppy home. We are grateful for Steven’s knowledge about the breed and his excellent customer service. He had great insight about proactive genetic health and diet, checked in frequently to be sure our puppy was thriving, and is clearly very passionate about running a responsible breeding program. The dogs appeared to enjoy a lovely farm and state of the art facilities. Steven and Frieda were wonderful and really care for the puppies. The farm had plenty of open space for the dogs to run and play. The facilities were meticulously clean and well kept.

We were very impressed with Steven's passion and knowledge of the corgi breed. Specifically, we appreciated the DNA testing performed on all the puppies.

Amazing experience! Steven takes great care of the pups and the property and kennels are beautiful. Everything is spotless clean, we met the whole pup family, it is a very peaceful happy environment. Our puppy is doing amazing and he is one happy pup. Steven still checks in regularly to follow up on how the pup is doing. Unbelievable experience from first communication and still ongoing now as Steven still checks in to see how the little guy is doing.
Ralph (formerly prince) is just an amazing little happy pup. From the moment we laid eyes on him in Steven’s immaculate home and property, we knew he was our next pack member. It’s so evident that Steven and his family take amazing care of the pups and are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
